The Classic Reader website is published by Blackdog Media, a one-person company run by Stephane Theroux, in British Columbia, Canada. It went live on March 29, 2000. All of the books in the Classic Reader collection are the full unabridged versions. Registered users of the site can download complete books by selecting the "Get Complete Book" link in the "Toolbox" bar on table of contents pages. You must register in order to use this feature. Registration is free, does not require personal information, and enables you to use other existing and future tools.

In Classic Reader you can find a large collection of free classic books, plays, and short stories by authors such as Dickens, Austen, Shakespeare and many others. All functions of this site are free to use although some functions require free registration.

English Daily is a very neat but resourceful website for ESL learners and teachers. You can find categories like conversation, Common Mistakes in English, TOEFL Vocabulary,  Learn American idioms, Ancient Chinese Stories ,English Grammar, Learn English Proverbs, Learn American Slang expressions, Train your ear, Movie Lines. Most of the categories get updated daily and among them, I find the conversation quite interesting and the English Proverbs quite informative. You can also Train your ear  by doing some listening exercises daily or read some movie lines of your favorite movies.

eNotes.com is a comprehensive online educational resource. One feature program I find very useful for ESL learners is literature. Although some of the resources need to be paid to get access to ,there are still a lot of stuff available for free. It is a resourceful website containing more than 3500 study guides of literary works. You can also find Lesson Plans, Literary Criticism,Oxford Companion to English Literature, Oxford Companion to American Lietrature, etc.
